Overview

The Organization’s vision for the Parent Community app was clear: deliver credible, localized parenting support to caregivers across the globe—regardless of geography, language, or device. The initiative needed to balance global guidance with country-specific content, all while maintaining the highest standards of security, scalability, and performance that an international organization demands.
We partnered with the organization to architect, build, and deploy a multi-country parenting application that enabled 23 languages, 18 editorial teams, and a seamless user experience for millions of parents—via mobile and web.

Objective

The project focused on several key areas: enhancing user experience and interface design to deliver a more intuitive and engaging journey; supporting the development of new functionalities to meet evolving business needs; improving overall software quality for greater reliability and performance; transitioning from hardcoded in-app content to a dynamic, centrally managed CMS-driven approach; enabling seamless multi-country rollouts to support regional growth; and ensuring the platform’s scalability to handle increasing user volumes and feature expansions confidently.
Their primary goals included:

  • Allowing editorial control at the country level while preserving global content standards
  • Support for 23 languages, with integration into a translation management system (TMS)
  • A secure, scalable, cloud-ready architecture built for global usage

Our Solution

We delivered a unified platform built for scale, localization, and ease of publishing:


Multi-Country, Multi-Language Editorial System
Each country had dedicated access to the headless Drupal CMS, allowing editorial teams to publish and manage content in their local language while maintaining global brand and messaging consistency.


Translation Management System Integration
Content workflows were integrated with a Translation Management System (TMS), enabling efficient handling of multi-language publishing and updates across 23 supported languages.

 

Headless Architecture + React Native App
We built the front-end using React Native, enabling a single codebase for both iOS and Android apps. This connected seamlessly to the Drupal headless CMS, ensuring fast delivery and easy updates.


Separation of Global & Local Content
The backend architecture was designed to clearly delineate global guidance content and country-specific information, giving the client team centralized governance without limiting local flexibility.

 

Enterprise-Grade Performance & Security
Compliant with the client’s global IT standards, the app was audited for security, optimized for performance, and tested for scalability—supporting concurrent usage across continents.

The organization is establishing a truly collaborative global-local content ecosystem that leverages global editorial standards and shared assets across all countries while giving local teams the flexibility to add, adapt, and enrich content to meet regional needs. Countries can also retrieve content from the global pool and seamlessly translate it into their preferred languages, ensuring both consistency and local relevance.
